About Kate

Kate has been creating art for a lifetime, dabbling in the worlds of music, painting, fiber arts, theater, and now jewelry. She attended Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts in 2005 with a discipline in painting & drawing.

She started Flower Sisters in 2023.

She wouldn't be where she is without the support and encouragement from those she loves and the wisdom and kindness of her fellow artists at the local art guild.

Fun facts:
- she has a really good recipe for Mexican Hot Chocolate pie
- top speed on a bicycle: 53mph
- some of her favorite video games include Legend of Zelda, Stardew Valley, and Valheim
- Estimated 1 rep max trapbar deadlift: 245lbs
- Estimated 1 rep max squat: 310lbs
- in addition to many other books, she read all Harry Potter books aloud to her children, Bingo & Gumbo, in 2020

Her studio has folding chairs stacked along the wall for when her friends come to visit and "play jewelry." Her friends regularly fall asleep on her couch. Above all, she wants everyone in her life to feel cared for and at peace, resting almost as if they were sitting in a great lap.
